OSD Officer Supports Agriculture

Police Constable Ishmael ‘Mandella’ Saio Kargbo 11903 was recently seen acting for a movie company known as D’ Trio, performing the role of an intelligence officer.

During an exclusive interview with this press, he revealed that his dream is to become outstanding among other personnel in the police force, adding that drama could be a method to make his dream a reality.

Born in Kambia District, Northern part of the country by Mr. and Mrs. Kargbo, Ismael disclosed that he attended the Roman Catholic Primary School in Madina where his family and many people in that community depend on agriculture as their basic means of survival.

He furthered that he decided to continue his education at the Methodist Boys High School in Freetown and joined the Sierra Leone Police Force, Operational Support Division to have the opportunity in contributing to national development and become a great actor promoting the essence of agriculture in national development.

He noted that upon hearing interviews of Sierra Leonean singer and dancer, Sfano Njawa Sesay, on various radio programs in the country, promoting the Everybody Must Farm initiative, he was inspired to support this call and decided to go into the movie industry and help promote concepts geared towards promoting agriculture.

“In recent times, I had the opportunity to meet General Sfano who further motivated me to make my dream realistic for the admiration of the public,” Kargbo said, continuing that he has been assured to take part in a movie titled ‘Desperate Campaign’ that is geared towards promoting the Everybody Must Farm concept through drama by the entertainment team of the Sfano-Michael Jackson Children’s Development Fund in Sierra Leone.

He called on Dr. Joseph Sam Sesay to further stage efforts that will encourage the public to massively involve in agricultural activities and encourage authorities in the Sierra Leone Police Force to work closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security and help create a center of agricultural activities that will enable the physically fit personnel engage in massive production of our basic food in the country.
