He furthered however that most disabled persons were dislodged soon after the City Council/ Police officers unlawful eviction of over 300 persons at a building located at Ecowas Street in the central Freetown district.

“The rains are expected and it will virtually not halt our means of livelihood, but affects our health. Government, on a number of occasions has told us they are committed to the empowerment of the physically challenged,” Sinneh emphasized.

Bishop Christian Cole Jnr, who also doubles as President of the Sierra Leone Multi-Religious Council, advised the disabled and physically challenged to exercise tolerance as plans are underway to assist them with materials that will provide shelter for them during rains.

“You do have greater ventures to national development. Be assured that our Lord God will touch hearts of humanitarian organizations so as to alleviate the sufferings of the disabled,” Bishop Cole said.
