DIFSIL commends President Koroma for his passion for disabled people

The Chief Executive Officer of Disabled International Foundation – Sierra Leone, Madam Imambay Kadie Kamara (in photo), has described President Ernest Bai Koroma as a kind father who loves all his children especially the disabled persons.

Multiple award winner, Madam Imambay Kadie Kamara, disclosed that she is very pleased with the efforts of President Koroma for his demonstration of true leadership by thinking of the handicapped population of the country.

She noted that she is particularly moved by the President’s decision to appoint the disabled in his government, and for establishing a commission for disabled persons.

She stressed that it is her desire to see all disabled persons live normal and standard lives like their able bodied compatriots.

She stated that she will continue to urge government to monitor all organizations that are working on behalf of disabled persons to make sure that they deliver to them what they promise them.

“We are critically looking at the current situation of disabled persons and we will give them livelihood in the form agriculture materials to make them engage themselves in farming activities for them to be able to sustain themselves and stop begging on the streets,” she disclosed.

She stated that they needed the collective and genuine efforts and the right attitude in moving forward the dream of President Koroma as he has created the platform for all meaningful organizations to work for the betterment of the disabled.
