Congratulatory message to, Mr. Abdulai Bangura and Mr. Andrew Jaia Kaikai
I wish to record my heartfelt congratulatory message to two people; my cousin, Mr. Abdulai Bangura for his cabinet appointment as Deputy Minister of Justice, and my friend, Mr. Andrew Jaia Kaikai for the position of Chief immigration officer. (Photo: Sanpha Sesay, author)
Mr. Bangura, famously known as Lawyer B in Kenema, I congratulate you and rejoice in the recognition which has been accorded to you by His Excellency, Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio. You have been an outspoken lawyer for the community you are serving and have rendered sincere services to the people of Kenema. I strongly believe that your eminence in the community in Kenema, your stature as a lawyer, and your notable experience in public life, all assure a continue contribution. The Bangura family and my very self-hope that, no matter what the future holds for you, God will always shower upon you his choicest blessings. Let me remind you that you have a rich heritage in the Bangura family so please preserve it well.
To you Lawyer Andrew Jaia Kaikai, I am glad to celebrate on your appointment with the astounding fact that you have been turned-down to run for parliament. You made a huge sacrifice to return home to represent your people in Pujehun District, but because of the discriminatory clause in the constitution about dual citizenship, that effort became hopeless.
Being a very important person in our community in the city of Dallas, Texas, the community will be proud to have you appointed as Chief immigration office. While you were in Dallas, Texas, you have always displayed an enlighten policy towards every member of the community without fear or favor. Therefore, your appointment deserved a quick Parliament approval and congratulations. I pray and earnestly hope that the time is not far off when you will go on to even greater position than this one. May Almighty God give you the strength and wisdom to fulfill your responsibilities during the first term of Bio’s administration. God luck to both of you.
