Moyamba Residents Jubilate Over SLRTC Bus Service
The people of Moyamba were full of praises for the General Manager of the Sierra Leone Road Transport Corporation (SLRTC) Mr. Bockarie Lewis-Kamara for launching a bus service on May 6th 2010, for the people of Moyamba District. According to the people of Moyamba, they have been suffering immensely in the hands of private transporters adding that they are very much grateful to General Manager, Bockarie Lewis-Kamara, his board Chairman, Alhaji Manso Kamara and the Minister of State South, Hon. Tarasid Tarawalie, for making this venture possible.
They said that they will use the bus allotted to them judiciously. They also pleaded with Mr. Lewis-Kamara that other areas apart from Moyamba are also suffering from the lack of government bus service.
Responding Lewis-Kamara told them that his ambition is to service the entire 12 districts in Sierra Leone but he is operating with limited resources but that God willing, very soon many areas suffering from the lack of govern government buses will jubilate. He showed appreciation to his Board chairman Mr. Victor Islicker and Alhaji Manso Kamara for the good job and expertise advice they are giving him.
