Musa Tarawally’s rolling goodness
If actions are the direct products of thought, then what people think politically is clearly of key importance. This is so, in relation to one of society’s unchallenging politicians, Musa Tarawally.
Over the years, and in the recent past, shortly after Ebola infiltrated Sierra Leone, Musa is, and has been the only minister to have raised and donated Le 80 M, provided a holding center and temperature testing machines to his Moyamba people in the fight against Ebola.
He’s also the only minister to have donated car washing machines to youths countrywide, in the enhancement and possible empowerment of self-employed individuals of society.
Like it is said ‘compasionate leaders think good for their subjects,’ same seems to reflect the character of the man called Musa.
Findings undoubtedly have proven that he has been the man in the middle of transforming clique boys (5 ‘Os’) of society to useful and forward looking citizens.
Today, even as I write this piece, what was practically a headache to government – cliques attacking rival clique members – has but completely faded away, with no killing, stabbing and attacking of the innocents of society as was in the past.
Musa is said to have been also doing humanitarian gestures to the needy of society – paying school feels for a number of pupils, students, whose parents could neither afford nor able to meet the financial costs for their children.
Just when Moyamba (Musa’s home town) was declared an Ebola hotspot, quarantined and isolated, he was seen to have quickly intervened in providing financial and logistical support in his pursuit in complementing efforts of the government.
Moyamba, as we speak, seems relatively overcoming the epidemic and has seen things rapidly normalizing in that part of the country.
In the recent past, Musa, together with the Minister of Transport & Aviation, Balogun Koroma, amiably signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Russian moguls for the construction of contemporary railways nationwide, which if come to effect, will see a viable comeback of what was Sierra Leone – in retrospect – the 50s and 60s – so to speak.
Reference must also be drawn to recent postings on WhatsApp by ill-motivated individuals that Musa was into child sacrifice, and other ills. Such, we are told, has seen persons responsible nabbed and are helping the police in their investigation.
That the principal suspect, one Mustapha Massaquoi, is said to have confessed that such a blackmailing article was posted online due to undue influence by one Sylvester Swarray, a suspect of the ongoing police investigation.
