Sierra Leone Reporters Union disclaim imposters
The Membership of Sierra Leone Reporters Union (SLRU) has received reports of its organization being used by imposters to fleece the public by claiming to be members of the union.
Some of the imposters have gone further to distribute certificates of merit to Politicians, Mining Companies and several businesses houses in the name of the Sierra Leone Reporters Union.
SLRU have also received reports of the importers collecting monies from the public on behalf of the organization.
The union has tendered some documentary evidence of the ‘fake’ Certificates to the Sierra Leone Police for further investigations.
The Sierra Leone Reporters Union wishes to disassociate with the imposters and to clarify that, it has not awarded any individual or institution with certificate and the union considers all the awards as not legitimate.
