Residents Commend Koidu City Council

Residents in Kono District have lavished praise on the Koidu New Sembehun City Council and the newly elected Mayor Emerson Lamina for the outstanding performance and contribution in developing the city within a short time since the outgoing Mayor left the council.  (Photo: Mayor Sahr Emmerson Lamina, Koidu New Sembehun City Council – the youngest Mayor in Sierra Leone!)

In an exclusive interview with this medium a man who describes himself as a born native of Koidu City said the Koidu New Sembehun City Council through the hard work of Mayor Sahr Emmerson Lamina and the Chief Administrator has transformed the council into a real council rather than making the council as a farm where there is no development in the council neither in the District. Adding that the Koidu New Sembehun City Council was at the tail end of development among the nineteen councils in the country during the regime of the previous Mayor, noting that it is only now that they have come to know that the Chief Administrator and the Mayor are hard working men.

Musa Ndomawa reiterated that the City Council that people used to know is no more the type of Council they now have in Kono and admonished the general public and the councilors of the Koidu New Sembehun City Council to work as hard as the Mayor and the Chief Administrator if they want the council to develop more.

A man who also said that he is a born native of Kangama Gorama chiefdom and also a bike rider that runs within the district said indeed there are now changes in the Koidu New Sembehun City Council, adding that he has seen a lot of changes in areas that he has travelled since the resume of Council and went on to state that this is the only time that he has seen Council undertake projects and conclude them within the time space.
