Y2K and Byrne Street to Battle for Brima Keita Trophy
Brima Keita Football Trophy grand finale will be played this weekend, Saturday 10th November 2012 between Y2K FC versus Byrne Street FC at the Football Academy, Kingtom at 4:30 pm.
The competition organized by Kingtom Football Association commenced at the K-T playing field with 24 communities but because of security concerns, the grand finale will be played at the Football Academy in full view of Rtd Brigadier Maada Bio and running mate, Dr. Kadie Sesay.
At 3: pm Sports Journalists will duel against Sport listeners in a ding dong battle.
According to the chief organizer, Alhaji Tarawally, he said there is going to be appreciable prizes for the champion, including a giant prize, Runners-Up and individuals and assured all of adequate security presence around the Football Academy.
Ex-EE Lions vice chairman and now chairman of SLPP Western Area, Brima Keita said the competition is a non–violence competition to preach to footballers and fans that football can unite us all as one family.
Y2K head coach, Zayman said victory or no victory his players will accept the result of the match even if there is any blunder made by the match official, adding my boys are disciplined and I have no problem with anything concerning violence as we are a peaceful team.
Team Captain of Byrne Street FC also assured this press that there is a good relationship between both teams and that nothing of a violence act will occur before, during, or after the match.
