In Preparation for Senegal Trip…Retired Football Heroes take on African Minerals
The West African Veteran Runners-Up, Retired National Football heroes, will engage African Minerals FC in a peaceful friendly match on Saturday 10th November 2012 at the National Stadium Practice Field.
The Retired National Football Heroes have not been battle tested since they arrived from Mali in January this year where they were defeated 1-0 in extra time in the West Africa Veteran football competition by their Malian counterpart.
According to the technical team of the nation’s Veteran Team, they likes of Jeffery Kabbia, Okala, Gold Finger, Bobson Kamara, Joseph Toby, de Cox, Rashid, Lamin Bangura, Gullit, Charlie Wright, Junior Konneh, Brima Mazola, Ajamie Olaiah, Abu Sankoh, Tostao, John Dissa, A.D. Koroma and several key players are expected for the big encounter.
Africa Minerals officials told this press that come Saturday they are going to wallop their opponent as they have a good squad that is good enough to defeat their counterpart, they boasted.
The match is vital for the Retired National Heroes team who are preparing for the trip Senegal December 2012/January 2013 if finance is available as this year they were resumed by Mercury International Betting Company who helped finance their trip to compete in Mali and emerge as Runners –Up.
