Popular youthful football club, Y2k FC (in photo) on Tuesday 2nd October 2012 defeated Janet Lane 5-4 on post match penalties after settling for a 3-3 full time.
Janet Lane opened the score in the 21st minute through Alie Babatov and Joseph Samura Kamara popular known as “Sakamura” leveled in the 29th minute from the penalty spot for Y2K FC.
Y2K FC pinpoint Attacker, Alusine Bangura widely known as “Owen” Put Y2K FC ahead with a beautiful ground shot to make it 2-1 before the break.
Janet Lane impressive attacker, Momoh Kamara leveled 2-2 early 2nd half with a 25 yard stunning shot.
Y2K FC centre defender, Joseph Samura Kamara scored a brace with a powerful header to give Y2K FC a 3-2 but Janet Lane levelled 3-3 in the 86th minute with a diving header inside the 6 yard box, Marko sends the match into post march penalties.
Y2K FC won 5-4 sending players, technical team, and fans in wide jubilation ready to engage the winner between Israel FC versus premier FC on the 13th Saturday October, 2012.
On Wednesday 3rd October Bike Riders union engaged Big Barrick FC but the result was not known as at press time.
On the 4th October, Israel will battle against Premier FC and on Friday 5th October, Byrne Street will engage Congo Market.
The grand final is slated for Sunday 21st October 2012 at K-T playing field at 4:30pm.
The winner of this competition will clinch a gold trophy and the sun of Le 3 million, Runners-up will bag a trophy and the sum of Le 1.5 million while the 3rd place winner will receive the sum of Le 500,000 and there are 60 certificates to grab by clubs and individuals on Saturday 28th October at an awards night at the St. Edwards school compound.
