Mohamed Kallon Mobbed in Bo City

Leone Stars superstar Mohamed Kallon received a hero’s crowd last weekend in the Southern City of Bo where he went to support AC Milan’s Rodney Strasser’s charity donation to kids in that part of the country.

The former Leone Stars skipper and owner of FC Kallon was considered by hundreds of football fans across the country as iconic with a special novelty that has benefitted the country hugely in terms of boosting football in the country.

A few express sentiments like the former skipper deserves national honour and recognition as he has done much in keeping the flag of Sierra Leone high; especially when the fact is considered that players all over the world including Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo and others are paid for playing for in their own countries but Mohamed Kallon keeps serving his country without being paid.

Sierra Express Media sports understands that it has never occurred in Mohamed Kallon’s history since his debut match for Leone Stars against Gambia in 1994, when he received remunerations for offering his national service in football.

At some point Personal Security and OSD officers had to protect the former Inter Milan, Mohalo and Olypiakos midfield general from the crowd. “This is my first time I’ve seen Kallon alive after five years,” Alex Kamara a passionate fan of Mohamed Kallon told our sports editor.

Another, Mohamed Fayai said Mohamed Kallon has vast knowledge in football and we all saw what he exhibited at the National Stadium in Freetown in the game against Sao Tome and Principe, so we must stop pulling him down, but we should praise him for what he keeps doing at the pitch, most fans said.

Kallon is back in the national team squad following his spell for lack of fitness on the previous occasions.
