NRA CG wants more sacked at Customs & Excise
The acting Commissioner General of National Revenue Authority (NRA), we are told, is in undercover moves to have loyalists of the recently sacked senior custom officers follow suit.
Disclosures have it though that the acting NRA CG, Madam Kallah Kamara, is ineffective, and lacks the wherewithal to successfully supervise conducts of tax and revenue collections at the NRA.
That Madam Kallah dreadfully goes after experienced tax officers owing to fear that they might kick her off the seat of NRA leadership one day.
Sources say that the acting NRA Chief has a degree in economics, but lacks basic know-how in practical tax collection conducts- she is ineffective, inefficient and unfit to head NRA.
No wonder the gossip chat of Sierra Express Media reveals unwholesome conducts of senior officials of NRA and some members of the board of directors.
It has reached the desk of this press that one of NRA’s commissioners (name withheld) has turned the acting CG’s main ally.
That he does the entire write ups for his boss, represents NRA outside Sierra Leone and to a certain extent, defends reports submitted to the office of the President.
Unconfirmed information states that the acting CG poised overhauling the custom and excise department, weeding out persons she believes are loyalists to the recently sacked senior officers.
It is no hidden secret that a certain commissioner, whose knowledge in tax issues speaks volume, has had restless days performing functions ought to have been performed by the acting NRA CG.
It was all an amazement to carefully confirm that content in sack letters issued the dismissed customs officers bear no indication of wrong doings at all.
Of course, some NRA personnel who asked for their names not to be mentioned said, the sacking of all seven senior custom officers was singularly stage-managed by the chairman of the board of NRA with backings from the acting NRA CG, Madam Kallah.
It is however disclosed that the sacking had the blessing of the President and some top APC politicians, who see the victims as sympathizers of the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP).

If all corrupt elements in our present day Sierra Leone are SLPP sympathizers. Please excuse my french. Ladies and Gentlemen SLPP condone criminal activities in Sierra Leone . Why, SLPP acting as a party of mercenaries.Sabotage is the order of the day in the grand old party. Many times am liberal in thinking because am a free thinker but I have long conclude that WUTTETEH would have made sierra leone a permanent cripple. Is that what the most experience , educated etc etc ( a laugh)people in the small nation of Sierra Leone made of . Enemy of progress. Is it normal for a party to say if we dont build Sierra Leone , no other party should do. Well this is a curse. God, please have mercy on Salone. Amen.
