Edmond Koroma and cohorts: where are the NASSIT ferries and two billion Leone fines?

Since the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) ordered that former NASSIT Director General, now Financial Secretary, Mr. Edmond Koroma, and three others should pay a fine of five hundred thousand Leones each, Searcher has been casting his beam into the coffers of the Sierra Leone Treasury but sadly he has not seen this two billion Leones remitted there.

And in spite of his nonstop surveillance of the high seas the two NASSIT ferries that have eaten so much into the nation’s finances have not returned.

One bird even whispered to the Searching Man that the ferries have been scrapped and are now being sold for parts. That, however, is a story the Searcher will soon launch a full investigation into. What is of concern now is the payment of the Le 2 billion fine from these four highly placed sacred goats for which a new law was enacted that saw them settling with the ACC instead of charging them to court.

The Searcher will now want the two talking funny parrots, I.B. Kargbo and Alhaji Alpha Abuja Kanu to please tell the people of this suffering, bleeding country whether these fines have been paid and the whereabouts of the ferries.

Trust the Searching Man, he will not rest until he gets answers to these questions.
