Energy Minister Complains To IMC
Red raw disclosure of conduct of the Ministry of Energy and Power has caught fire in the confused mind of the Minister of Energy and Power Prof. Ogunlade Davidson (in photo).
The Exclusive, For Di People and Sierra Express Media newspapers respectively await notification for court hearing(s) from the Independent Media Commission owing to complaints forwarded them by ‘grey haired’ APC Minister of Energy and Power.
It must be noted that content in the letter of complaint by the Ministry of Energy and Power outwardly described stories published by respective media institutions as ‘reckless’ and ‘unprofessional.’
‘Reckless’ as stated in the letter of complaint sent to the IMC by the ‘Acting Public Relations Officer’ of Ministry of Energy and Power in fact means ‘back to sender,’ or ‘reckless too’ ah ah!
It sounds a disgrace that a ‘would be’ Public Relations Officer could unwittingly refer to organizations he earlier emblemmed as ‘leading newspapers’ reckless.
Yes, Sierra Express Media questioned the award of million dollar contracts to D&F Associate.
It is a fact that national procurement office recently submitted a letter to officials of the Ministry of Energy and Power informing them of their intention to look at the manner in which contracts were awarded.
That it is a fact that the Ministry of Energy and Power is tasked by guiding principles to award contracts using any of the three departments as the case may be.
Respective departments, so to say, Guma, National Power Authority or SALWACO takes charge in the award of contracts on issues binding on any of the three.
Where is transparency Mr. Minister of Energy and Power?
Of course, Sierra Express Media has had guns readily loaded and shall fire when the battle starts.
Despite objections owing to letter of complaint copied Sierra Express Media, public’s concern demands that the Minister of Energy and Power gives an explanation how US$30 million contracts was awarded, whether it went through tender or was accomplished by any of the three departments (Guma, SALWACO and NPA) as mandated by guiding principles at the Ministry.
To you, Mr. so-called Acting Public Relations Officer, the exploit of the word ‘reckless’ needs scrutinizing; how reckless is reckless?
We know you don’t know. Well, our meeting at the IMC will school you of the word reckless, trust us.
Waiting to see you and your Minister come the ‘D’ day.
Stay with Sierra Express Media, for your trusted place in news!
