All set for late kick-off in Lagos

It is now been confirmed via the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that the friendly between Nigeria and Sierra Leone is going to be a late kick-off Wednesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos. (Photo:  Lone Stars celebrate in Cairo)

NFF further announced that former NFA Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, will Match Commission the friendly in Lagos. kick-off time is 7pm and Supersport.com has announced that the World of Champions will broadcast the international friendly on Supersport 3 (SS3).

Sierra Express Media understands the Eagles did not train at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Monday but went ahead with their first training sessions for the encounter against Sierra Leone in Lagos today as hundreds of fans turned up to witness head Coach Siasia’s first session with faces in the squad.

Leone Stars head Coach Christian Cole’s squad has been boosted by the arrival of former skipper Mohamed Kallon, USA keeper John Trye, J-Sodra converted wing back Sheriff Suma, AIK’s duo Mohamed Bangura and Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura.

Major absentees are first choice keeper Christian Caulker, Mustapha Hadji Bangura, Kei Kamara, Rodney Strasser, Mohamed Medo Kamara, Gibrilla Woobay and Ibrahim Kargbo.

The Leone Stars are also preparing for their Nations Cup qualifying tie away at giant killers Niger next month. They are in the same qualifying group with defending champions Egypt and South Africa.
