CGG Project Officer to face court action

The Preston Chambers in Freetown is to drag to court the project officer of the Campaign for Good Governance should instructions to have the latter apologize for his demeaning and calculated ploy in smearing the hard won reputation of local NGO “Talented Young People Every Where (TYPE-SL)” be ignored.

It is told to this press that the CGG project officer, so called Mr. Kamara, shamelessly wrote a letter into which were uncountable flaws; wrongfully alleging that TYPE-SL underpaid him for the facilitation of the latter’s ‘Youth in Governance Workshop’ held and hosted in the northern district of Port Loko.

For professional reasons, Sierra Express Media caught up with the National Coordinator TYPE-SL, Ibrahim H.K Sahid, to know from him or have him ‘have his say’ on allegations by the project officer of Campaign for Good Governance.

The surprise came verbatim soon after response of the National Coordinator TYPE-SL debunked allegations as told by Port Loko based CGG Project Officer as baseless, enviously frivolous, unfounded, uncalled, vexatious and totally malicious.

That it is true Mr. Kamara was contracted; payment agreement was understood at Le 800,000 for two days of facilitations.

Of course, and by the evidence before us, Mr. Kamara who now roams the streets of Freetown saying wrong things spent barely an hour of facilitation and vanished recklessly unceremoniously.

The National Coordinator, Mr. Sahid, expressed grief over Kamara being conspicuously late for the event and his laggard dissolved in thin air.

To Sahid, the uncalled for attitude of Kamara his caused embarrassment to his organization and compeled him to scout somebody else to take on the rest of the program until the end.

Thank God, Mr. Ibrahim Munu, a lecturer of Njala University consented to offer his services.  After the programme, Mr. Munu was reimbursed with Le 600,000 of the set aside payment for two days of facilitation.

During the liquidation of workshop budget, TYPE-SL approached Mr. Kamara to sign for the Le 200,000 which he had earlier received so as to put the records straight.

“It was at this point that the CGG employee, Mohamed Kamara, commenced his mischievous campaign to tarnish the image of my institution,” said Sahid.

The Preston Chamber with Fio Edwards as legal officer is set to either have Kamara apologize or face legal suit.
