Wahala – man 54 allegedly rapes woman 54
Revelations in religious books; the Bible and Quoran seemed reaching doorsteps of this world: 54 year old Joseph Philip Mamie will appear in court today for raping one Fanta Jabbie age 54.
Joseph Mammie who works as Senior Mines Monitoring Officer, in his statement to detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), admitted having a loving relationship with complainant Fanta Jabbie.
All two are of age and have been in association (as two lovers) for a number of years.
According to credible police sources it was told that complainant Fanta Jabbie is an international business woman that sell items such as clothes, chains, rings, and mobile phones. She is a single parent with a child undertaking studies at Fourah Bay College University, Sierra Leone.
It is alleged that on September 8th, she (Fanta Jabbie) was at Forth Street to collect money from some of her customers but was turned down. Angry Fanta Jabbie went into an exchange of words with one of the customers that owed her. Upon this, 54 year old Philip Mammie intervened and pretended to pacify her.
The discussion between Fanta Jabbie and Philip Mammie saw the birth of a loving relationship.
She visited the accused and she was with him for two consecutive days. The two were having sexual intercourse for the two days they had been together.
The aforementioned revelations are said to have been stated in a statement of the complainant Fanta Jabbie.
Although accused Philip Mammie in his statement damned the allegations made against him as false. He admitted having a sexual relationship with Fanta Jabbie in August of 2010.
It was also confirmed that on the 3rd September, the accused visited the complainant to sympathize with her on bereavement. Sources say the accused passed the night with her that evening.
The Complainant on the following day said she would be traveling to Guinea, but later reached the premises of the accused at 2:30 a.m, banging on the window and demanding that he opened the door for her.
Sources say the police have had no option but to send both parties to court for judicial findings.
Police sources say the matter has been sent to court and will commence hearing today.
Findings in the medical report of Fanta Jabbie say no physical injury was observed and genital area is normal.

Rape is Rape, but what does this have to do with women’s rights? If this was in London or the west as a whole, it’s good but once it’s from a third world country…it’s bad…but women Rape men too thou….Remember?

I am still wondering if the people of Sierra Leone still understand the word rape? from what I gather there from this reporter it seens that the conclusion have been that no rape took place. But please note that a husband can rape his wife, boyfriend can rape his girlfriend etc. Next time, please respect the victim by not stated her name.

This is not correct to name raped vitims. Weather you belive the story or not rape is also rape and its does’nt matter of age, sex, or even the person’s wife. Let us try to respect women’s right in Sierra Leone for goodness sake.
