Police promotion out soon … says Acha Kamara

No less a person other than the Inspector General of Police, Brima Acha Kamara (in photo) has confirmed that the long awaited police promotion will finally be released this month.

Mr. Acha Kamara made this disclosure on the commemoration of his successful seven years rule in office on Tuesday June 1st 2010, at the ‘D’ Divisional Head Quarters, Kissy, where a party was organized in honor of his name.

Members of the Local Policing Partnership board (LPPB) at ‘D’ division appealed to promote the operations officer at ‘D’ division, ASP Daniel Bongoh to Superintendent of Police for a job well done as they put it that ASP Bongoh is firmly focused, dedicated to duty, administrator per excellence, loyal, corrupt free, kind and result oriented.

This press has been reliably informed that the following senior police officers are going to be promoted to Superintendent of Police,

ASP S.B. Kargbo, Superintendent officer central police station,
ASP Martin Njendeh, operations officer, Masiaka police station,
ASP Sanie Sesay, CID headquarters, brought down to Freetown from Kenema to help bring reforms at CID headquarters,
ASPO Dennis Taylor, officer commanding New England police station
ASP Daniel Bongoh, operations officer ‘D’ division will this month be promoted to Superintendent.

Those moving from Superintendent to Chief Superintendent of Police are

Superintendent Nepor Senesie, local unit commander of ‘D’ division
Superintendent Memuna Bangura, Director Community Relations Department
Superintendent Ibrahim Koroma, local unit commander of Goderich division, and
Superintendent D. S. Koroma, LUC Kamakwei police station.

It has also been confirmed that the Acting Regional Commander of Western Area, Chief Superintendent of Police CSP Wellington, will be promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police and confirmed in the appointment.

Fifteen inspectors are going to benefit to ASP and it is further confirmed that the qualification higher teacher certificate and bachelor degree will be promoted to the ranks of sergeant and inspector accordingly.
