No bus service for Fourah Bay College
Students of Fourah Bay College have appealed to the Sierra Leone Road Transport Corporation (SLRTC) to resume its bus service to and from the campus. Some of the students who spoke to CTN said they had to form long queues in the morning for the bus operated by the Students Union; and at times scramble for taxis to and from class. They said the Students Union bus was not enough for the thousands of students who commute every day. The SLRTC’s Head of Communication, Abdul Bangura, told CTN that the bus service was temporarily halted, owing to technical problems. He said the buses developed problems, due its frequency up and down the Fourah Bay College hills. Mr. Bangura said the Fourah Bay College bus service, would remain suspended until the spare parts to effect repairs were received. He called on the students to exercise patience and make do with what was available at the moment until the busses were repaired.
