Big Bust – Koroma asked Tejan Cole to resign and US job offer is a hoax!
State House Gossip core has finally come through to break the long silence on the reason for the mysterious departure of ACC Chief Abdul Tejan Cole from office; as word spread that it was President Koroma himself that asked the now fugitive Lawyer to leave office in his own interest before things take a bad footing for him (Tejan Cole) and the interest of the APC government as well.
Sources have it that president Koroma personally called on the young man and told him to excuse his office in the way that wouldn’t much damage his credibility and at the same time save the cracks that are already being created in the APC as a result of the daring undertakings of the ACC Chief which many in the party see as capable of rendering the party to shreds as affectation they say has already marred the status quo and party dispensation.
“Why can’t you guys see the rationale behind the unprecedented resignation of Tejan Cole, his so-called drive to fight what he calls corruption was beginning to not only be an embarrassment to the party but the first family as well†our source said with much confidence; relishing the thought being the first to burst this ill-omened escape intention of Abdul Tejan Cole that led to his enforced leave of office.
Confirmations from a cross section of Board Members at the Anti Corruption who for now want to be in anonymity reveal that “indeed, the commission was considering investigating claims of rampant corruption in the first family†as kinsmen of President Ernest Bai Koroma have been variously accused of gross corruption; an issue the president has also for apparent reasons decided to leave unattended to.
Party hurl-lords of the All People’s Congress Party have also been quoted to be boasting that “the goad and ego of a self styled no-nonsense Lawyer boy will not be allowed to destroy the unity and strength of the party; considering the disturbance and divide the Afsatu Kabba case is already is already causing in the ranks of the party.
Whilst cogent reasons for the Tejan-Cole resignation are now circulating on the lips of State House Presidential Aids, facts have also emerged discrediting claims that the ACC Chief resigned because he landed a job in the United States that offers him US $20,000 as a monthly take home by the Open Society Institute (OSI).
Figures that appear in OSI salary memo indicate that even though the Institute pays such money to its staffers, such could only possibly be a yearly gross; rubbishing the Abdul Tejan-Cole US job as apt fraud and completely untenable.
Cynics in the State House Administration though are convinced that the “young boy could not have been threatened to just leave, there surely was an incentive for this†asserting that Tejan Cole’s cold went-away was a paid-up affair to save both the face of the presidency and that of the APC. Â
