Police Impound 14 Vehicles Loaded With Timber Logs
The Director of Operations, AIG Elizabeth Turay has informed newsmen that Police has impounded 14 vehicles with loaded timber logs.
Speaking at a press conference held recently at the Police Headquarters Conference Hall in Freetown, Elizabeth Turay maintained that the ban on the cutting of timber is still effective adding that the 14 vehicles which were impounded through State House Taskforce are currently parked at the Police Training School, Kingtom.
She said the investigation has completed and the file has been sent for legal advice and updated that the Sierra Leone Police continue monitoring security situation across the country and described the security situation in the country as calm.
She spoke about the massive operation they have launched to calm down clique activities and assured that they will be working along the line with community stakeholders to dissolve clique activities.
