Circular Road Traders Appeal To Freetown City Council
Marginalized traders are calling on Freetown City Council (FCC) to work directly with them because according to them, members of the United Youth Organization are not working righteously with them.
According to Mr. Umar Kargbo, Mr. Ibrahim Turay, Mr. Osman Kanu and other traders all of No. 30 Circular Road are lawful occupants of the above address adding that UYO issued them with a notice to quit the said property, knowing fully that they receive or collect rent from them as their tenants.
Some of the tenants according to traders, have paid their rent for the entire 2017, however, UYO have gone ahead to give them notices to quit.
In that regard, traders said they would be happy if the management of FCC operates with them directly than for them to continue paying their rent through UYO which they described as a crooked organization aiming at exploiting them.
They are therefore calling on the Freetown Mayor, Yvonne Aki Sawyer and the Chief Administrator to address their concerns so that they will feel equally as citizens.
