Nigerian National Arrested With Cocaine
A Nigerian national Ferdinand Ekwunife Okeke last Friday made his first appreance before Magistrate Henry Sandy of Freetown Court No 1A on three count charges of conspiracy to committee a felony contrary to law, unlawful possession of cocaine and transportation of Narcotic Drugs contrary to law.
According to the charges the incident took place on the 11th April 2010 at the Lungi International Airport. Were in the accused was found in possession of 62 pellets of cocaine and also on the same date he was found transporting Narcotic Drugs without lawful authority.
After the charges were read the accused was not given the opportunity to take a plea, defending the accused was lawyer Francises Issa who made an application for bail on behalf of the accused person, Inspector Zizer who was prosecuting the matter mad an objection to bail. The accused person was however remanded at the Pademba Road prison as the matter was adjoined to the 20th of May 2010.
