ICC Female Golf Tournament Ends
The Freetown Golf Club, Ladies Friendly Tournament, sponsored by International Insurance Company (SL) Limited (IIC), was held successfully last Saturday, at the Freetown Golf Club, despite the early morning rain scare that caused the absence of some of the players.
Having defied the deluge of rain in the early hours of the day, the ladies players who participated in the tournament showcased their golfing skills to the admiration of the spectators who were there to cheer them to victory.
At the end of the keenly contested tournament, top three players emerged. The former Freetown Golf Club Lady’s Captain, Madam Luba Johnson came first and the second position went to Florence Bamim, while the Current Lady’s Captain, Mrs. Anne Koroma, took the third position. Prizes were presented to the three top players by the amiable wife of the Chairman of IIC, Mrs. Ayo Macauley.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion include, IIC’s Board Chairman, Mr. Henry Akin Macauley and his wife, the Managing Director/CEO of IIC, Mr. Nduka O. Anyaso and his Wife, Mrs. Chinyere Anyaso, as well as Mrs. Aisha Johansen, the proprietor of the internationally acclaimed Johansen Youth Football Club, amongst other dignitaries.
