As Constituents Vow to Kick Out MP APC May Lose Constituency 31
Many voters in Constituency 31, Makarie Gbanti Chiefdom, Bombali District, Northern Sierra Leone, have vowed to vote overwhelmingly against their Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Martin Bangura, for allegedly neglecting them and misusing constituency development funds.
According to the visibly disappointed voters, the said MP has governed what they described as a neglected constituency for two consecutive terms but to their greatest disappointment, the law maker cannot boast of creating any memorable development impact on the constituency despite the fabulous constituency development funds he has been receiving.
They described Hon. Bangura as a woefully incompetent legislator who has little or no knowledge in political administration and who remains not committed to the welfare of the people that voted him to power, warning the All Peoples Congress (APC) not to make the grave mistake of awarding the party symbol to him this time round, otherwise, the party will surely lose that constituency to another political party in 2018.
When contacted via mobile phone, Hon. Bangura described the voters’ allegations as transparent and ridiculous lies possibly manufactured maliciously by his political rivals who keep envying the several development projects he has carried out in the constituency, boasting that he is one of the best MPs in the Bombali District and that even President Koroma and APC can attest to that act.
