More NPSE Irregularities Revealed Kono District Sent 8,000 Late Entries

The Public Relation Officer, Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MEST), Brima Michael Turay, has informed media practitioners that less than five days to the National Primary School Examination (NPSE), Kono District alone sent eight thousand late entries of candidates.

He gave the information past Thursday during the weekly government press briefing in the conference hall of the Ministry of Information and Communications at Youyi Building in Freetown while responding to questions from the press.

Turay noted that the massive irregularities that characterized the NPSE were far beyond the control of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) and MEST.

He confirmed that WAEC catered for 103,184 candidates but amazingly, three days to the exams the number of candidates increased to 115,692 and mentioned that a day to the exams, schools in Waterloo, Bonthe and Mile 91 also brought late entries.
