Clique Members Terrorizes Kissy Community
A clique operating in Kissy in the eastern part of Freetown have been accused by concerned residents of aiding and abetting armed robbers at bight.
Most of the members of the clique called British Money Taken Over (BMTO) comprised teenagers and adolescents residing at the Jones Street, Salmon Street, Macaulay Street, Pyke Street and Parsonage Street communities and their environs where reports state armed robbery is on the rise.
Macaulay Street and Pyke Street leading to the Kissy market have been reportedly identified as the base for BMTO during odd hours.
The Kissy Police Post on Blackhall Road has confirmed receiving persistent reports from the Kissy residents about how the clique members are in the habit of snatching handbags and mobile phones from unsuspecting people.
Concerned community leaders and senior residents worried over the ugly development have admonished parents and guardians to advise their children to desist from attacking unsuspecting people and aiding and abetting armed robbers as anyone caught in the act will face the full penalty of the law.
