Parliament approves Ady Macauley as Commissioner of ACC
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) wishes to inform the general public that Parliament on Thursday 7th April 2016 approved Ady Macauley Esq., as Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
The new ACC boss subsequently took the oath of office at State House where he committed himself to perform his duties with diligence and integrity and pledged to strengthen the fight against corruption to increase on successes attained by his predecessor.
On his appointment, Mr. Macauley had this to say: “I thank His Excellency Dr. Ernest Koroma for appointing me to this position. As a prosecutor I will boldly say our Commission stands as the only anti-graft body in the sub region that has secured 100% conviction in prosecution. I see myself as having played a significant role in that achievement. ”
Mr. Macauley joined the ACC in 2011 as prosecutor and rose to the position of Chief Prosecutor in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB. Hons.) from the University of London.
