Musa Tarawally raised Le 14 billion for Government
A senior official at the Ministry of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment has told this paper that the former Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, Hon. Musa Tarawally, raised the sum of Le 13,708,255,707 as revenue for the period 2013, 2014 and 2015.
He also revealed that the amount of revenue generated by the Ministry from January 2015 to date is about Le 3 billion.
The official who asked not to be named also revealed that over four thousand acres of land was banked including nine hundred acres for the Military and they established thirteen Control Points in the Western Area.
He also noted that the Minister was very accommodating and encouraged employees to attend training programmes both here and abroad in order to build their capacity and make them perform more effectively and efficiently.
Asked whether the Minister was involved in the illegal sale of lands, the official said that Hon. Musa Tarawally was a very hard working, honest transparent and law abiding man who never involved himself in illegal sales of lands.
He revealed that when Hon. Musa Tarawally took over the Ministry sometime in 2013, he reclaimed all lands that had been fraudulently acquired by individuals and organisations and encouraged all Sierra Leoneans to go through the correct procedures to acquire plots of land.
A close Aide to President Koroma who spoke to this Reporter as we went to press last night, stated that Hon. Musa Tarawally was one of the most humble, loyal and dedicated of president Koroma’s Ministers and a man whose sole ambition was to help the President, the APC ant the Government succeed.
‘’Musa Tarawally was so humble and loyal to President Koroma that he calls him ‘Big Brother,’ ‘’ he explained.
He further stated that Musa Tarawally still remains loyal to the President and the APC of which he is the National Organising Secretary.
