Ghana’s John Pantsil returns to action for Fulham
Ghana defender John Pantsil returned to Fulham’s starting team on Sunday for the first time since breaking his ankle in December. (John Pantsil played his first official game for Fulham since December)
The 28-year-old’s return in a timely boost for the Black Stars World Cup campaign in June.
Pantsil, Ghana’s first-choice right-back, has undergone treatment since suffering the knee injury.
He suffered the knee injury in the Cottagers’ West London derby defeat against Chelsea in December.
He was named in the starting team for Sunday’s Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park and he played the entire duration of the game.
During his absence, Panstil underwent an operation to cure the posterior cruciate ligament problem that prevented him from playing at the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola in January.
His return to action for Fulham means he will be good form for the Black Stars for the World Cup in South Africa in June.
Ghana will face Germany, Serbia and Australia in the group stage of the World Cup which stars on 11 June.
