Man charged for beating his sister

It has been reported to this press that an auto mechanic known as Abu Bakarr Campbell of 58 Pratt Street, New England Ville in Freetown was brought in court presided by Magistrate Albert Moody of the Freetown Magistrate where he was questioned for physically abusing his younger sister Winifred Muna Campbell of the same address.

Reports further revealed that on the 17th and 18th June this year, Bakarr was caught in the act of physical abuse on her own younger sister Muna and inflicted on her body pains and skin bruises.

The accused was arraigned on two count charges of domestic violence and pleaded guilty.

The accused pleaded guilty when the court brought to his notice his offenses and charges levied against him.

His legal representative Lawyer C. Campbell further pleaded to the court on behalf of his client adding that the accused has promised to stay out of violence and said that the action against h is own sister is regretful.

Our sources further disclosed that the renowned legal Lawyer in Sierra Leone pleaded with Magistrate Albert Moody to pardon his client.

It was further reported that the Prosecuting Officers, Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) Tommy Ziger and Inspector Sorie Conteh expressed their appreciation in court proceedings and thanks the judiciary for doing its best to contain violence against humanity in the country.
