Nigeria High Commissioner donates to Woman Timap

The Nigeria High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Mrs. Gladys Modupe Quist-Adebiyi (in photo) has on Sunday July 6th , donated 10 bags of rice, 2bags of sugar, 2 cartoons of mayonnaise, 1 cartoon milk and Le700,000 (seven hundred thousand Leones) cash to an organization called, Woman Timap.

Donating the items and cash during a ceremony at the organization’s 8 Bai Bureh Road office recently, Commissioner Gladys, maintained that she was making such a laudable donation to Woman Timap as a response to a request made by its president who is the Deputy Mayor of the Freetown City Council, Councilor Hannah Jaiah, to help its membership for the month of Ramadan. She noted that she is very pleased with the leadership of the organization, adding that Woman Timap is doing extremely well. The president of woman Timap, Councilor Hannah Jaiah, expressed delight over the donation, saying she was deeply touched by such wonderful donation.

She promised to be meeting other people to help the organization’s membership for the Ramadan month. According to her, this is not the first time people have been making such laudable donation to Woman Timap, calling on other people to emulate the good example of the Nigerian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone.
