Parliament Approves New NEC Boss
Parliament has on Wednesday approved Stephen Aiah Mattia’s nomination to serve as National Electoral Commissioner Eastern Region.
Mr. Mattia got a majority vote on Wednesday despite some reservations by the opposition SLPP members of the house. Honourable Sheku Dumbuya, the majority leader in Parliament said Mr. Mattia’s service to NEC was one that deserved commendation.
The newly approved NEC commissioner for eastern region told SEM that he believed his twenty years sincere service to the commission had contributed to his attainment of the new position. He therefore pledged to continue to execute his duties impartially.
