One killed in Bo riot
Latest reports reaching this press reveal that one okada rider, who was evading arrest, rammed into a bridge killing himself on the spot in Bo city.
The incident occurred as a result of when the rider was riding without a crash helmet and slippers. He was stopped by the police but refused and ran away where he met his untimely death.
The situation went out of hand as the angry riders went on the rampage saying they must kill the police officer who was chasing the okada man in revenge of their colleague.
Hearing of the saga, the resident minister who had wanted to mediate between the police and angry okada riders was pelted with stones, damaging his official vehicle.
The situation was tense that a Mac- P had to be invoked immediately in order to control the angry mob from further destruction. As at press time, all residents in Bo were confined in doors.
