In Sierra Leone, $56,000 worth of property stolen at Dumanski’s House

Latest reports reaching this press confirm that property worth $56,000 has been stolen from the residence of Victor Dumanski, a Ukrainian-Sierra Leonean citizen whose $2 million residence was confiscated by the High Court of Sierra Leone recently.  This was made known by residents of Hamilton village to Sierra Express Media over the weekend that people living in the confiscated house are also smoking marijuana in the house on a daily basis.

They added that they are also using the house to play loud music to the annoyance of other neighbours.  They informed SEM that plans are underway to sell the said house to some Russians for the sum of $800 000.

Source further disclosed that Victor Dumanski has also been deprived of his right to appeal in the Court of Appeals.

The report added that Dumanski has also complained to various institutions like the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Hon. Franklyn Bai Kargbo, the chief Justice of Sierra Leone, Umu Hawa Tejan Jalloh, the ombudsman office, Justice Cowan, the Anti Corruption Commissioner (ACC) lawyer Joseph Kamara, the Minister of Lands, Housing and Infrastructure, Hon Musa Tarawally the Deputy Ministers of public and political  Affairs Hon. Karamoh Kabba and a letter has been sent to the office of the president to Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and nothing has come out of it to date.

The ruling of the court has completely devastated Mr. Dumanski, leaving him poor and depressed to an extent that he is now calling on God Almighty and President Koroma to intervene and revisit the ruling of the High Court.

In an interview with Dumanski via telephone yesterday, he told our reporter that he has never suffered injustice at the hands of the NPRC, AFRC, RUFP or the SLPP but has suffered the highest injustice under the democratic government of the APC.
