NASSIT goes biometric
The Acting Director General of NASSIT Joseph Mans Jr. has yesterday 26th May officially launched the Biometric System for Pensioners.
In launching the process the Director General thanked the people especially the pensioners for their patience in awaiting the process. He assured all that this is the best system that will reduce the delay in the payment of pensions. He furthered that the system will also prevent system breakers from defrauding of their pensions.
Speaking, the Acting Deputy Director General, Mr. Amara Kargbo affirmed that even if you are sick and cannot come for your pension the system is going to be updated so much so as to pay your pensions at your place of residence.
The Director of operations Mr. Amadu F. Dainkeh in his statement said NASSIT is going Biometric now because of their robust checking NASSIT has embarked on especially with pensioners. He said before now, people use to come with letters of authority authenticated by Justices of peace which many a time has been proved false. He said with this new system nobody can get away with pensioners money.
“Biometric system takes special features like the ten finger print, the face, eye and even the distance between the eyes” said Mr. Dainkeh.
Mr. Dainkeh confirmed that the system is unbeatable and appeal to their pensioners that once you bring your pension card you will be verified and will be instantly given a new Biometric card. He said that as at now there are twenty-one thousand government pensioners and about six thousand NASSIT pensioners.
