Fourth Infantry Brigade wins RSLAF drilling competition

The Fourth Infantry Brigade based in Makeni in the Northern Province which consists of four infantry battalions has won this year’s drilling competition organized by the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) on February 17 which marked the second day of the Armed Forces Week hosted at the Hockey Pitch at Wilberforce Barracks in Freetown.

The participating teams for the Armed Forces Week competition were the Third Brigade Freetown, Fourth Brigade Makeni, Fifth Brigade Gondoma-Bo, Support Units Freetown and Forces Administration Freetown.

According to Major I Bangura, Director of Public Relations the purpose of the parade was to introduce Soldiers into discipline.

He disclosed that the Fourth Infantry Brigade have won all the drilling competition since the inception of the Armed Forces Day except in 2013.

He also revealed that the Fourth Brigade won the 2013 Armed Forces football competition in October.

In his comments, the Parade Commander of the Fourth Infantry Brigade, Mr. Daniel Turay maintained that, the parade consisted of thirty personnel including five females officers.
