Cemetarian FC wins Baba Mansaray Memorial Trophy
Cemetarian FC on Sunday, January 12 beat Red Arrow FC 2-0 to lift the late Baba Mansaray Memorial Trophy at the Congo Town School Playing Ground.
Cemetarian FC Striker, James Conteh opened the score with a superb opener in the 16th minute.
Red Arrow FC player, Michael Kamara was given red card for dangerous foul on an opponent in the 27th minute.
Abdul B. Kamara made it 2-0 for Cemetarian FC in the 52nd minute from a counter attack.
The match ended peacefully with a 2-0 victory for Cemetarian FC which was witnessed by high profile personalities from Congo Town including Councilor Emmanuel Saidu Conteh.
The sponsor, Mr. Jonathan Rhodes (Coach Puzzy) told this press that he is delighted that the entire competition was peaceful and colourful.
He thanked the organizers, clubs, supporters and all who played key roles to make the gala a huge success.
The champion bagged a giant trophy, medals, certificate and cash prize and the second, third and place runners-up bagged certificate and cash prizes.
