Mayor visits dilapidated King Jimmy Market
On Tuesday, November 26, 2013, the Mayor of the Freetown City Council, His Worship Bode Gibson, together with architects and businessmen visited the dilapidated structure of the King Jimmy Market and its environs to appraise themselves with the situation of the building and find the way forward.
Addressing the gathering he said they will repair the building so that the people can do their business there in a comfortable and safe place.
He asked those who have erected structures there to remove them before they demolish them forcefully.
He appealed to those staying under high tension cables to vacate the place for their own safety.
