Sanda Magbolonthor thumbs up for Umar Abdulai Sesay
As the Chieftaincy election in Sanda Magbolonthor Chiefdom, Port Loko District gets closer, the inhabitants of the Chiefdom have vowed to demonstrate their unflinching support they have for the awaiting Chief, Mr. Umar Abdulai Mansary.
The people of Sanda Magbolonthor Chiefdom made their commitment during Mr. Sesay’s campaign where he appealed to the fourteen Sections to elect a candidate that will bring development and unity to the Chiefdom.
He further urged the Electoral College, comprising of 405 Ceremonial and Tribal Authorities that there are twelve candidates but that one of them has been disqualified for not fulfilling the criteria and appealed to them to elect a leader on merit and not for financial and other sentiments.
He noted that the Chiefdom is one of the most deprived in the country, promising that if he is elected, he will ensure that development comes to them.
In a chat with this Reporter, he said he has campaigned in all the 14 Sections in the Chiefdom where the people have assured him of their support.
He noted that some candidates are using money to influence the Electoral College but cautioned that some people get power through kindness, humility and influence, stressing that he does not have money to give out to Tribal Authorities or Ceremonial Chiefs but respect and love.
