African Minerals to start mining on Koinadugu district
Koinadugu, Nov. 6 (SLENA) – The Member of Parliament of Constituency 43 in the Koinadugu District, Hon. Kusan Sesay and the African Minerals Limited have engaged the people of Dieng and Wara Wara Yagala Chiefdoms for the purpose of starting mining activities in that part of the country .
While addressing inhabitants of the two chiefdoms last week, the Chief Executive Officer of AML, Moseray Fadika thanked the chiefdom people for welcoming his company in the district to start the mining of iron ore in that part of the country .
Mr. Fadika said the first phase is the drilling process of the iron ore and after the prospecting , the company will go into full gear mining in the chiefdom, stressing that as the CEO of AML, he will ensure the company contributes to the socio economic development of the chiefdoms. This he said will include job creation , infrastructural development and better roads network.
Mr. Fidika promised the community through the Member of Parliament to support the people in their basic needs.
On his part, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Kusan Sesay expressed his delight and thanked the AML for investing in his constituency, adding that as parliamentarian he will give them his fullest support to archive their goals.
The Paramount Chief of Dieng Chiefdom, PC Magba III and PC Gbawuru III of Wara Wara Yagala chiefdom both welcomed the AML to their chiefdoms and called on all stakeholders in the community to give them their fullest support.
Also speaking at the occasion was the Chairman of Koindadugu District Council, Mr. Sheku Kamara. Other included a representative the Office of National Security ONS, the District Officer, the Women’s leader, Chairman of the mining committee and chiefdom speaker, among others.
