SLIMS Community Hospital becomes a Death Trap

Reports are that the K-Step Police Division is currently investigating a case of allegations of wrong prescriptions and administration of drugs by medics of the SLIMS Community Hospital at the Old Wharf far east of capital Freetown.

The latest victim is the case of 17 year’s old Emile Berry who is in Freetown on a vacation from the United States who was rushed to the hospital on account of a particular medical condition on 23rd of July.

Our sources say minutes after the administration of medical treatment to the ailing Emile Berry, a negative reaction overcame the victim and caused him to behave abnormal after frequent intervals. This prompted the family of the victim to immediately transfer Emile to the UMC Hospital for an emergency therapy as medical personnel attached to the SLIMS Community Hospital were dumbfounded and could do virtually nothing to remedy the worrying situation.

Information sourced from community members came out clearly the there is an influx of untrained and unqualified medical Practitioners at the SLIMS Community Health Centre that are a risk to the lives of gullible citizens.

One patient who was present when treatment was administered to Emile, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed to this reporter that the victim Emile Berry was treated by some untrained and unqualified nurses with the consent of the CHO in charge Adam Essay, who also resides in the Old Wharf Community.  Relatives of the victim residing at No. 5 Kamara Lane Old Wharf Road vowed to get to the bottom of the issue and have therefore duly contacted the police for an investigation into the matter that is threatening the life of their ward.

We are therefore calling on the attention of the Western Area District Medical Officer to conduct a thorough investigation into these serious allegations with a bid to forestall such practices.
