Kei Ansu Kamara Wins sierraleonefootball.com Award

The award ceremony took place at Hotel Mariam, Freetown and was attended by colleages, national players, Technical Crew, sponsor, the press, and the organizers.
According to sierraleonefootball.com Editor, Mohamed Fajah Barrie, five players were shortlisted by local sport journalists and were later voted for by viewers of sierraleonefootball.com and Kei emerged victorious with 52.2 percent of the total votes while his nearest rival, Bolton midfielder, Mohamed Medo Kamara scored 42.2 percent. Sheriff Suma, Christian Caulker and Umaru Zaingalay Bangura took the 3rd , 4th and 5th positions respectively.
Representative of Mercury International, the sponsor of sierraleonefootball.com, congratulated the maiden Award Winner on his historic victory, saying he was proud to see him playing the English Premier League for Norwich City and being the first Sierra Leonean player to score in England’s top league.
After receiving the Maiden Award, Kei thanked all those who graced the award ceremony, commending his colleague players whose collective support earned him the award. “This is special to me as football has helped to change my life,” he remarked, concluding that it is a blessing to be honored and that almost everything he has achieved out of Sierra Leone is for Sierra Leone.
