Bolton Wanderers sign Sierra Leonean Medo Kamara
Ahead of the transfer deadline Bolton Wanderers signed Sierra Leonean midfielder 25 year old Medo Kamara (in photo) in a 3½ year deal from Partizan Belgrade for an undisclosed sum.
Although he thought he had no chance of obtaining the player, Manager Dougie Freeman targeted Medo Kamara for his list of transfers.
Freedman told BBC Radio Manchester: “He’s got experience of the Champions League and he’s played in some top games. “He’s very hungry to succeed in England and he’s choosing Bolton because he feels we’re in the very same situation as him, after I explained to him where we are and what we’re trying to do.
The Sierra Leone international began his career in Finland and has notched up over 50 appearances for the Serbian club since 2010, winning the league title on two occasions with Partizan and playing for the club in the Champions League.
Kamara commented “I choose Bolton because I believe that they will return to the Premier League immediately. To play in the Premier League is my biggest dream.”
