Keep it up, Normalization Committee
After several ups and downs in Sierra Leone Football, provoking FIFA’s intervention, the later forming of a Normalization Committee comprising of the chairman, Alie Fornah, Buffy Bailor, Milton Boyle, Alhassan Kamara and a female, media expert Mamadi Ngobeh Kamara, seems to be a smart move.
Initially football fans and stakeholders thought the appointment of the Normalization Committee was political. However, current meetings held with the Premier League board members, regional chairman, and club officials, have manifested that they have no plans to endanger their reputations built for decades.
Most football stakeholders know Alie Fornah as he is a close friend of the president and some prominent ministers in the APC government. He is a straight forward public figure, a believer of peace, justice, transparency, and credibility. In his remarks he has assured all that being the Chairman of the Committee he will see that they organize a credible, free, fair and transparent F A presidential election, slated for 30th June, 2013.
If we are to go by accolades pronounced by heavyweight football stakeholders across the country, and members of the Normalization Committee, then we are assured of a credible, transparent, non-violent, non-political, free and fair election.
Keep it up as the nation is watching you with an eagle eye, Lonta.
