Fake Political Party Blasted

In a “Good Morning Freetown” programme aired on 98.1 Radio in which the acting Chairman of the Political Party Registration Commission (PPRC) Roland Ade Caesar was contacted he told listeners that the said communist party headed by Chernor Alpha M. Bah has never been registered with the PPRC. He therefore warned that the African People Socialist Party (APSP) is yet to be recognized as a political party as it is still a movement or an association. Mr. Caesar further warned that the interim leader of the APSP should come to his office and register after observing due registration criteria.

Nigeria Boosts Salone with TAC

The long term friendly country to Sierra Leone, Nigeria has sends more Technical Aid Corps (TAC) into the country. Receiving the team at the Freetown International Airport, the Deputy Foreign Minister said based on the bilateral friendship between the countries, Nigeria has always been on the alert to support the people of Sierra Leone and that TAC will help to promote and buoy both the educational and health sectors in the country.

“SLPP & APC Have Destroyed Salone” Says PMDC Strongman

Amarado Mustapha, one of the founding members of the people’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) based in the USA has told members of the public at the Heart of Gold entertainment centre that SLPP and APC have destroyed Salone since the inception of our independence in 1961. Mr. Mustapha further noted that the PMDC is the only solution to Sierra Leone’s problems.

He added that “the roads are in bad shape, no regular electricity supply and poor water sanitation system; rampant corruption in the police and many other vices that are potential corrupt practices going on in the country”. He also urged the government to improve on teachers salaries in order to buoy the educational stand of the country.

Killers of Lucky Dube Convicted

The three killers of South African reggae born artist Lucky Dube have been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, SAPA news Agency reports on Tuesday.

The High Court in Johannesburg sentenced Sifiso Mhlanga, Julius Gxowa, and Mbuti Mabe to 15 years each frothier attempted robbery of Dube’s car.
