London Mission Out Again With News Magazine

The second edition of the SIERRA Update news magazine published by the Public Information Unit of the Sierra Leone High Commission is out.

The magazine featuring some of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma government’s major strategic achievements was released on Friday last week in London.

It is currently being distributed to all diplomatic missions and Sierra Leonean organisations in the United Kingdom.

The magazine’s Publisher Sorie Sudan Sesay, who is also Information Attaché at the High Commission, said he is using the magazine as a tool to inform the world about President Koroma’s popular “Agenda for Change.”

“Western media have deliberately refused to showcase the good side of Sierra Leone – and this is one reason why I have decided to come up with such a news magazine especially after the success of the Trade and Investment conference in London,” said Sudan.

In this latest edition, the magazine features an exclusive in-depth report on the Trade and Investment Conference, the progress in the road reconstruction projects and the rapid growth in banking business, among others.

Copies of the magazine will be distributed to all government ministries and agencies as well as the House of Parliament and press houses.

The first special edition of the news magazine was published in November last year and distributed free of charge at the Trade conference in London.

It featured potential business opportunities in Sierra Leone with the photographs of President Koroma and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair on the cover.
