Reports indicate that Fanta Mansaray went for the first time to attend Sunday’s meeting and introduced herself as a member of the council from Kono. According to eye witness account, Fanta raised a question as to who is the real president for the herbalists in Sierra Leone and she was answered that Dr. Tarawally and Dr. Kabba are the recognized heads of herbalists and traditional healers in the country. It was revealed that Fanta became annoyed at the mentioning of Dr. Tarawally, the host, as one of the presidents. This was followed by a confusion which prompted members of the council to search Fanta’s bag. According to the complainant, Dr. Tarawally, dangerous charms and a military bullet were discovered in her bag before she was taken to the Kissy Police Station where statements were taken from both Dr. Tarawally and the suspect. She was released on bail on the arrival of members of the union on Sunday.
Sources from the Sierra Leone Police divulged to this press that fresh charges will be made against Fanta for her alleged possession of a bullet which is contrary to law in Sierra Leone. Local Unit Commander of Kissy Mess-Mess Police Station. Cutis Koroma expressed the need for the Regional Commander East, AIG Amadu Mannah to look into the matter since it involves two large groups of traditional healers in the country.
Council of Traditional Healers has expressed their dissatisfaction saying that members of the SLITHU have been attacking them all over the country. However, SLITHU on Monday 5th October made a counter report to the Kissy Mess-Mess Police against the council that its members assaulted their member Fanta on Sunday at the council’s office.
Dr. Sulaiman Kabba informed this press that he did not send Fanta to disrupt their rival’s meeting on Sunday; he denied involvement as alleged that he is pioneering the attacks on the president of the council.
