The APC East District Chairman, Amadu Bangura and the Reconciliation Committee on Sunday 7th October, 2012 resolved the acrimony among the losing APC aspirants in Constituency 96, Calaba Town/Allen Town at a colorful ceremony held at the Foamex Field, Calaba Town.

Addressing the gathering, Amadu Bangura lauded the aspirants, Edward Kalawa Dumbuya, Dr. Aunfa Sorie Koroma and Agnes Jalloh for their various contributions to make him what he is today as well as their invaluable contributions to the success of the party.

Amadu Bangura commended the APC Chairman for Kailahun District, Victor Sengu Koroma for working hard to ensure that the party clinched satisfactory votes in the 2007 polls and that he has assured the party of more votes in the November election for which the party awarded three ministerial positions to the District.

He also appealed to all aspirants not to rest on their oars but work relentlessly to ensure a resounding second term victory for the party irrespective of the minor differences among members, a phenomenon not unique to the party.

Dr. Aunfa Koroma, one of the aspirants asserted that President Koroma has contributed immeasurably to transform the country and pledged his unflinching support to the winner, Alhansan Kamara.

The other aspirants, E. K. Dumbuya and Agnes Jalloh spoke in similar vein with the latter calling on women to come out in their numbers to vote for Alhansan Kamara underscoring that the APC is a grassroots party.

Earlier, Benjamin Davies, who chaired the ceremony, thanked the District Chairman, Amadu Bangura and other stakeholders pointing out that the APC believes in democratic principles and congratulated Alhasan Kamara for his victory and stressed the need to unify the party maintaining that the battle ahead is to ensure that the party wins all the twenty-one seats in the Western Area.
